Privacy Policy

CloudEx Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the "Notification History Pro" app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service handles, what we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Our Core Principle

Notification History Pro saves the notifications shown on your device so that you can read them again later. Everything it saves is stored only on your device. We never collect, upload, or transmit the content of your notifications to our servers or to any third party. Specifically, we do not have access to any of the following:

  • The text of your notifications and messages
  • The names of the people who sent them, or their pictures and icons
  • The names of the apps that notified you

Your notification history leaves your device only through actions you take yourself: exporting it, creating a backup file, or sharing a notification (Section 5).

2. Notification Access and Your History

With your permission ("Notification access"), Notification History Pro reads the notifications shown on your device and saves their text, sender names, pictures, icons, the name of the app and the time in a database on your device.

  • The history is kept in the app's private storage on your device and is excluded from Android's cloud backup. (When you move to a new phone with a cable or a phone-to-phone transfer, Android may copy it directly to the new device.)
  • You choose which apps are not recorded and how long the history is kept, and you can delete any or all of it at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes everything.
  • The optional features — notification filters, snooze and reminders, read-aloud, pop-ups, keyword alerts and unsend alerts — also run entirely on your device. Read-aloud uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your device.
  • If you reply from a conversation in the app, your reply is handed to the original chat app through the reply action of its notification. It is not sent to us.
  • You can turn notification access off at any time in your device settings; the app then stops reading notifications.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information Collected Automatically

  • Anonymous crash reports: Via Firebase Crashlytics. When the app crashes, we collect the stack trace, device model, OS version, and app version. Crash reports never include the content of your notifications.
  • App usage statistics: Via Google Analytics for Firebase. We collect anonymous usage events (such as the app being opened) together with device information, identifiers such as the advertising ID, and an approximate location (such as the country or city) that Google Analytics derives from the IP address. We use this data to understand aggregate app usage and to fix and improve the app. It never includes the content of your notifications, sender names, or the names of the apps that notified you.
  • Purchase information: The optional one-time "Premium" purchase is processed by Google Play. The app checks ownership on your device through Google Play Billing. We never receive any payment information such as credit card numbers.

3.2 Information Stored Only on Your Device

  • Your notification history: the text, sender names, pictures, icons, app names and times of the notifications you received.
  • Filter rules, keywords and app settings: the rules and keywords you create, the apps you exclude, the retention period, theme and similar settings. Settings may be included in Android's backup so that they can be restored on a new device; the notification history is not.
  • Backups and exports you create: saved to the location you choose (Section 5).

All of this is erased when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data.

3.3 Information We Explicitly Do Not Collect

  • The content of your notifications and messages, sender names, or the names of the apps that notified you
  • Your contacts, phone number, photos, or files
  • Precise location information such as GPS coordinates
  • Anything from your microphone or camera (the app does not use them)

3.4 Permissions the App Requests and Their Purposes

Notification History Pro uses the following permissions only for the stated purposes:

  • Notification access — The core function of the app. Used to read the notifications shown on your device and save them to the history on your device, and — only if you use those features — to hide or snooze notifications according to your filter rules. Nothing that is read is sent off your device.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13+) — Used to show keyword alerts, unsend alerts and reminders.
  • Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) — Requested only if you enable the pop-up that shows new chat messages on top of other apps. It reads no screen content.
  • Biometric authentication (USE_BIOMETRIC) — Used only if you turn on the app lock. Verification is performed by Android; the app never receives your fingerprint or face data.
  • Run at startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — Used to restore your pending reminders after the device restarts.
  • List of installed apps — The app reads the names and icons of the apps on your device so that you can choose apps in its settings (apps not to record, filters). This list stays on your device.
  • Internet — Used only for anonymous crash and analytics reporting, purchase verification through Google Play, downloading the list of our other apps, and showing this policy. Your notification history is never transmitted.

4. How We Use Information

The limited information we collect is used only for the following purposes:

  • Operating and maintaining the Service
  • Verifying your Premium purchase
  • Understanding aggregate app usage and improving the app (analytics)
  • Diagnosing and fixing crashes
  • Responding to support inquiries
  • Complying with applicable laws

5. Backups, Exports and Sharing

Backups and exports (CSV or text) are created only when you ask for them and are saved or shared to a location or app that you choose. They contain your notification history, so please keep them somewhere safe. We never receive these files. When you share a notification or a file with another app, that app handles it under its own terms.

6. Third-Party Services

Notification History Pro uses the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy.

  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — anonymous crash diagnostic data
  • Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC) — anonymous app usage statistics
  • Google Play Billing — payments are completed on the store platform side
  • Google Play in-app review and in-app update — shown by Google Play inside the app; handled by Google

The settings screen shows a list of our other apps. The list is downloaded from our server; no personal information is sent with that request.

7. Data Retention

  • Crash reports: retained for 90 days, then deleted.
  • Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months, then deleted.
  • Your notification history and settings stored on your device: kept until the retention period you chose has passed, you delete them, uninstall the app, or clear the app's data.

8. International Data Transfers

We are based in Japan. The infrastructure used for crash diagnostics and analytics may be located in various countries. When you use the Service, the minimal information described in Section 3.1 may be processed outside your country of residence under standard contractual safeguards.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you reside (e.g., the EEA, UK, California, Japan), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the limited information we hold. You can:

  • Reset or delete your device's advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads)
  • Delete any or all of your notification history in the app, or uninstall the app to erase everything on your device
  • Turn off notification access in your device settings to stop the app from reading notifications
  • Contact us at the address below to make a request regarding the information we hold

10. Children's Privacy

Notification History Pro is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age applicable in your region). If we inadvertently collect information from such a child, we will delete it promptly upon being contacted.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version is always published at this URL together with its effective date. We will also notify you within the app of significant changes as appropriate.
